September

Saturday, October 14, 2006

Christian hs been ribbing me about the lack of blog posts. The truth is that it has been the busiest few weeks for a long time and I simply haven't found the time to do any updates.
However, I've now got half an hour on the train from Luton to London so I'll try and summarise September.
Most of September was occupied with Mother's long-anticpated visit from Australia - either preparation for, or the visit itself. More on that when I've got the pictures to post! It also kind of explains why I am on my way to London. The Austraian immigration people are holding an 'expo' today for people who meet their criteria of skilled workers and ar considering emmigrating to Australia. I can thank Tim Harris for bringing the event to my attention. Unfortunately, I only got my invite confirmed on Wednesday night, so today when I so desperately needed a lie-in I had to get up at 4am, update my cv and get to London. In the dark, cold and fog. I hope it is worth it!
Also this month Jane started her new job in Leeds. This is proving a culture shock as she now has to get up before me. The Redfords are not known for being good 'morning' people so we'll have to see how she gets on over the coming weeks.
Jane's new job also means she has to drive to Leeds each day. Sadly this means the Bullet may have to go. Although mechanically sound, I fear he is not long for this world. His health was not helped by whichever scum decided to break into it again twice in a fortnight. Now both door locks are completely knackered. Not good.
We're nearly in London now, better stop typing, more on the Expo later!
