It's not often I'm up this late (02:15). But Jane's in Florence so some of the boys have been round for poker. I lost. Not to worry.
Before going to bed, I thought I'd polish off a scotch and watch ten minutes of TV. There's nothing on, so as is often the case, I switched to one of the music channels.
Do you know what they do at this time on a Saturday? It's genius - they 'sign' all the videos. I've just watched a 50 Cent video being 'signed' by a middle-aged woman. I'm sure it's a valued service to the hard of hearing, but to me it's the funniest thing I've seen in ages. Not the fact that there's signing, let's be clear on that, but the fact that the signers (and the person doing the signing changes each video) are almost exclusively the kind of people you'd never associate with the type of video they're signing. And they do dance.
I thought it was a joke at first, but it's happening on multiple channels! Currently, a 50 year old lady is bopping to the instrumental part of DJ Sammy's 'Girls of summer' waiting for the lyrics to start again. I may have done a little wee.
